Accessories
Masks: These can have either single or double faceplates,
designed to aid vision underwater. Most have a built-in guard to keep
water out of your nose. As an added benefit, they can be fitted with
prescription lenses for those who wear glasses.
Fins: Wearing fins on your feet makes for easier
swimming. They come in full or half-fit designs.
Snorkel: A lightweight breathing tube with a mouthpiece.
It attaches to the mask. The snorkel is for use when swimming face-down
at the surface. Its main function is to conserve tank air.
Dive Knife: A small, sharp knife to cut yourself
free in case you or your equipment should get tangled up underwater.
